BEL 505 semi-automatic case former/case erector

BEL 505 units comprise a line of semi-automatic case forming stations for manual hand packing operations. Each BEL 505 model is compact and ergonomically laid out. For example, operators can stand on either side of a BEL 505 to accommodate right or left handedness or the configuration of the work area. BEL 505 handles a wide range of case types and sizes. At a fraction of the cost of fully automatic case erectors, the BEL 505 semi-automatic case former/erector provides an economical and effective way to leverage manual labor and speed up packing. Standard features include:

• Dynamic flap-folding system power folds all bottom flaps
• Formed cases are positioned on a roller deck for either easy loading on the former for one person packing or transfer to a packing conveyor for two or more packers

Hold down conveyor/packaging station

Once the BEL 505 operator forms a case, he or she simply rolls it onto the hold down conveyor, which serves as a stable packaging platform. Positive mechanical case hold down keeps each box in place during loading. Quick adjust features provide for flexibility in case size. The conveyor/packing station comes in reasonably priced three and six-foot lengths, so that as the business grows, personnel can be added (up to four people packing). An optional accumulation rotating table brings products within easy reach of packing personnel.

BEL 150 pressure sensitive case taper

From the conveyor/packing station, cases roll easily onto the BEL 150 for fast, assured top and bottom taping. The BEL 150 is a uniform, pressure sensitive, semi-automatic case taper. It features heavy duty, corrosion resistant aluminum C-Beam construction, and a powerful Uni-Drive case transport system. The BEL 150 semi-automatic case taper can seal a wide range of case sizes at speeds up to 30 cases per minute with quick case size changes. The DEKKA SE high performance stainless steel tape head is a standard feature. Simple design and rugged construction will deliver years of reliable, low maintenance performance. An optional Nestaflex conveyor serves as an accumulation zone at the outflow of the taper.

Each unit in the modular forming, packing, and taping system is on casters for easy movement to other areas of the plant. For one person forming and packing on slower lines, the conveyor can be removed and the case packed on the case former and fed directly into the taper.
