  • Features compliance with PackML standards
  • See the Model 255 at Pack Expo Las Vegas, September 23-25, Booth C-2520

Fort Worth, TX — ID Technology, powered by ProMach and a leading manufacturer of product identification equipment, will showcase a new addition to their extensive line of Label Printer Applicators – the Model 255 – at Pack Expo Las Vegas, Booth C-2520. The Model 255 is an evolution of the world’s highest selling label printer applicator.

The model 255 is the first ID Technology Label Printer Applicator designed to be PackML compliant and is the perfect solution for packaging equipment users who are implementing PackML into their packaging lines. PackML (Packaging Machine Language) is a standard for programming and controlling packaging equipment, intended to ensure there is consistency in user interface, programming, and operation between the disparate packaging systems used in modern packaging lines. PackML simplifies communication between the different machines that make up a packaging line, reducing the time needed for installation and training on new equipment and making packaging machinery easier to operate. The industry group OMAC, along with major consumer goods companies and packaging machinery equipment manufacturers, has championed the advancement of PackML standards.

The Model 255 Label Printer Applicator uses Allen Bradley PLC controls along with a 4-inch color touchscreen HMI and all operator screens are designed to meet the PackML guidelines. Since the Model 255 is based on ID Technology’s well-proven Model 252 machines, a wide range of applicator options are available, making the Model 255 able to handle just about any labeling job.

In addition to the Model 255, other configurations of Label Printer Applicators will be on display at the ID Technology booth at Pack Expo. The Model 252N, a Narrow Aisle Corner Wrap Label Printer Applicator, will be featured. This model was specifically designed for corner wrap labeling where production space is limited. The 252E, a Label Printer Applicator in a full stainless steel enclosure will also be in the booth. With this exclusive design, it is no longer necessary to use a separate enclosure to protect the applicator, since the enclosure and applicator are one. All machine components and modules are mounted on a unique faceplate and the stainless steel enclosure is wrapped around the faceplate.
