MILWAUKEE, WI ― Federal Mfg., powered by ProMach, announced today that John Oliaro has been named the division’s new Vice President and General Manager. Federal is one of the world’s leading suppliers of filling and capping packaging solutions.
“John joined Federal in 2013 as Operations Manager and this past year gave him exposure to Federal’s technology, processes, markets, and customer expectations,” said Don Cotney, President of the ProMach Bottling & Capping Business Unit. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with John for nearly 15 years, and I know that Federal will grow and prosper under his leadership.”
Prior to his move to Federal, Oliaro was Operations Manager at Fowler Products, a ProMach capping and cap handling business, where he made significant contributions to the execution of machinery projects management and on-time deliveries. He joined Fowler in 1996 as a mechanical design engineer.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA degree in Business Leadership from Brenau University. Oliaro was recognized in 2002 as the Young Engineer of the Year by the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
Oliaro steps into the shoes of long time Federal senior manager Frank Johanek. Johanek moves into an advisory role with ProMach’s Bottling & Capping Business Unit, which includes Federal, Fowler, and Zalkin.
“Frank will be participating in a broad range of assignments and special projects for the Bottling & Capping Business Unit,” Cotney said. “He has a lifetime of packaging industry experience. His insights and creativity will support and contribute to the business unit’s strategic growth.”
