Wexxar Packaging Expands Sales Team

Jul 09, 2012

Vancouver BC — Wexxar Bel, powered by ProMach, announced today an expansion of their sales team with the creation of a new Business Development role for the U.S. West and Canada territories. This new role will help the Wexxar Packaging sales team to further strengthen their commitment to being the leading provider of solutions for case and tray forming and sealing.

Paul Watmough, a sales specialist with over 10 years of experience selling packaging machinery through various channels in the business-to-business environment, is being promoted to Wexxar Packaging’s Business Development Manager for the U.S. West and Canada. The U.S. West territory consists of California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The Canadian territory includes all provinces.

"We are pleased that Paul Watmough is taking on the role of Business Development Manager and that Mike Parkinson has been brought on board in this recent expansion of the Wexxar Packaging sales team," says Jim Stoddard, VP of Sales for Wexxar Packaging. “These moves represent our strong commitment to being the most knowledgeable group of packaging professionals in the industry. Wexxar Packaging will continue to advance its reputation as a provider of choice for companies needing reliable case forming and packing solutions."

Mr. Watmough, who has been with Wexxar Packaging since 2003, served as Inside Sales Representative and was then charged with representing Wexxar Bel, Dekka and IPAK products to agents, distributors, and various resellers as Territory Director in 2005. Mr. Watmough will now be representing all of Wexxar’s brands specifically to Industrial Channels (O.E.M., Integrators, and Corrugators). His prior sales and account management experience with both Wexxar, and previously Team Equipment, make his new role part of a natural transition.

Mike Parkinson, a sales professional in the building supplies manufacturing industry, has been hired to replace Paul Watmough as Territory Director in the Western US and Canada. In his new role, Mr. Parkinson will assist the organization with selling and promoting Wexxar Bel, Dekka and IPAK products through distribution channels. Mr. Parkinson will also be responsible for providing technical and commercial integration expertise to channel partners in these regions.

Mr. Parkinson brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position, having previously worked at the Westcoast Drilling Supplies Company and Atlas Copco and has expert knowledge of working with distributors and agents. Prior to his joining Wexxar Packaging, Mr. Parkinson spent fifteen years with machinery manufacturing companies.
